While no specifics were provided in the studio’s announcement, the July project is likely “Morbius,” starring Jared Leto.
“The character is another villain from the Spidey canon, which will be shepherded by “Safe House” director Daniel Espinosa. Morbius first surfaced in the 1971 comic “The Amazing Spider-Man,” as a scientist seeking a cure for a blood disease. Things don’t go as planned, and the doctor winds up with vampiric traits and a thirst for blood.”
Production on Morbius looks to have kicked off with a screenplay by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama.

It is also understood that the second film slated for release could very well be the sequel to Tom Hardy’s Venom, which came out in theaters last month. In the sequel, Hardy will return as journalist Eddie Brock sharing his body with a parasitic alien.
Before these two movies hit the big screen, Sony already has a few other Spider-verse additions coming out in 2019. Silver & Black is going to hit theaters Feb. 8, 2019, and Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out on July 5.
